What is Veri*factu?
Veri*factu (short for “Verifiable Factura”) is Spain’s upcoming real-time computerized invoicing system, designed to combat VAT fraud and promote transactional transparency. It complements the mandatory e-invoicing law by ensuring that invoices are tamper-proof, traceable, and instantly reported to the tax authority (AEAT).
Applicable for B2B and B2C invoices, the system will require certified invoicing software that either integrates with AEAT or logs invoice data with secure audit trails.
