Digitizing Data Management
The organization in question was facing challenges due to the diversity of data sources and formats, which led to the need for manual reconciliation of transactions from multiple systems. This resulted in labor-intensive processes and required manual data-cleaning efforts. Additionally, complex apportionment calculations had to be made based on floor data.
To address these challenges, the organization designed and developed a central data warehouse that integrated all the source systems. They also used the Cygnet ETL tool for data extraction and massaging. The data uploading process for VAT filing was automated, and a reporting structure was implemented to track transaction counts between users and source systems. Automated reconciliation and apportionment reports based on floor area and yearly apportionment were also created.
